Job Description

As a Senior Product Development Manager at Abbott, you will play a key role in driving the success of our brands. Your primary responsibilities will include developing promotional materials and marketing programs, organizing product launch activities, creating training materials, and conducting product training. You will work closely with the sales team to drive strong execution of programs in the field.

Core Job Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate new product opportunities based on market size, competitor activity, and understanding of doctor prescribing behavior.
  • Coordinate the development of marketing strategies, advertising, and promotion programs, ensuring their effective execution.
  • Analyze market trends and sales potential to inform business decisions.
  • Maintain contact with key customers to follow up on promotion efforts and stay informed about customer needs.
  • Develop methods for testing merchandising programs to gauge customer acceptance and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Review existing product sales by territory and customer, submitting recommendations for changes to the marketing plan as needed.
  • Develop promotional materials and marketing programs aligned with product promotion cycles.
  • Drive strong program execution through structured communication and collaboration with sales managers and teams.
  • Organize new product launches and related activities, including clinical trials, seeding programs, and detailing cycles.
  • Identify new marketing opportunities through joint visits with the field force, providing technical and academic information to support product promotion and handling competition.
  • Develop training materials and conduct refresher courses for the field force.
  • Communicate with headquarters regarding product developments.
  • Develop a Multiple Channel Engagement platform to support the field team.
  • Report any product quality complaints and adverse events to Quality Assurance and Affiliate Safety Representatives.
Position Accountability/Scope:
  • This position reports to the Marketing Manager.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of product management and marketing experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in marketing ethical products to healthcare professionals.
  • Innovative marketing strategies to drive sales profit.
  • A strong analytical mind to resolve business challenges and ability to work under pressure.
  • A strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation.
  • Possession for the business and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Good communication skills in English and Chinese.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
