Position Overview

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is seeking to fill multiple positions for postdoctoral fellows, research associates, and research assistants focused on OLED technology projects.

The main duties for postdoctoral fellows and research associates in Project I include innovating fabrication techniques for ultrahigh-resolution OLED displays. Meanwhile, those in Project II will concentrate on creating long-lasting blue devices for display applications and exploring the mechanisms behind device degradation.

Research assistants across both projects will support the principal investigators in conducting laboratory experiments, which involve thin film deposition, photolithography, and the fabrication and characterization of OLED devices.


For Postdoctoral Fellows/Research Associates in Project I, candidates should possess a PhD in electrical and electronic engineering, materials science, or related fields, with a background in semiconductor devices and micro-fabrication methods. Familiarity with OLED devices and various thin-film deposition techniques is advantageous.


For Postdoctoral Fellows/Research Associates in Project II, a PhD in chemistry, physics, or materials science is required, along with a comprehensive understanding of OLED materials and device physics.

For Research Assistants in Projects I & II, applicants should hold a bachelor's or master's degree in science or engineering, with a general understanding of semiconductor materials and devices being preferable.


All appointees are expected to demonstrate proficiency in both spoken and written English.


Contract Duration:
1 year, with the possibility of renewal.

Compensation:
Starting salary will be aligned with qualifications and experience, along with fringe benefits such as annual leave and medical and dental coverage.
