Job Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Chief Investment Officer to lead our investment management department. The successful candidate will oversee the strategy and performance of our investment teams, driving growth and delivering results that meet fund objectives and client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the investment management department, comprising teams with expertise in equities, fixed income, multi-asset, and indexing strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with the management team to execute business plans and initiatives, driving growth and enhancing the firm's franchise.
  • Ensure investment teams deliver performance that meets fund objectives and client expectations over an appropriate time horizon.
  • Provide insights on macro-economic development and top-down factors influencing market performance.
  • Optimise available resources and investment capabilities to support business growth and new initiatives.
  • Provide oversight for responsible investment practices, including investment stewardship & corporate engagement, research on ESG topics, and alignment with UNPRI practices.
  • Lead team heads in talent development and encourage team members to grow and learn.
  • Act as ambassador for the firm, articulating investment views and strategy to clients and the public to promote the firm's investment opinion leadership.
  • Maintain a robust control environment to ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures, identifying and resolving issues effectively.

Requirements
  • University education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in asset management, with a proven track record in senior management roles.
  • Possession of CFA designation expected; other relevant professional qualifications welcome.
  • Relevant SFC licenses as Responsible Officer, experience as Key Investment Personnel, and/or Manager-in-Charge required.
  • Prior experience managing portfolios investing in Hong Kong/China/Asian markets, with deep understanding of the Hong Kong/China market.
  • Investment knowledge across various asset classes necessary.
  • Knowledge of risk management and regulatory compliance requirements essential.
  • Strong sense of business ownership and client servicing mindset.

Estimated Salary: HKD 2,500,000 - HKD 3,000,000 per annum
