Job Description

HSBC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Marketing Manager to join our Wealth team. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans and programs to support the Asia Wealth ambition of HSBC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote cross-continuum wealth proposition of HSBC, including wealth marketing of products and solutions, thought leadership, and events.
  • Formulate marketing initiatives to drive awareness, acquisition, and usage of HSBC Premier, Premier Elite, and GPB cross continuum, as well as deeper understanding and take-up of HSBC wealth products and solutions.
  • Promote HSBC wealth management solutions through paid, owned, and earned media, and establish partnerships to maximize value.
  • Apply internal and external insights and data points to develop and execute Customer Marketing strategies to achieve business and brand objectives.
  • Manage marketing creative development and governance, including stakeholder, agency/supplier, and budget management of designated campaigns and areas.
  • Measure performance, linking business and customer results to initiatives, and analyze campaigns to understand drivers of results.
  • Coordinate with the rest of the team in assigned focus areas relating to team governance and submissions.
  • Ensure marketing communications uphold the highest standards within the bank.
  • Support innovation projects and embrace agile ways of working.
Accountabilities
  • Lead and identify market opportunities to support delivery of the HSBC Asia wealth strategy.
  • Develop and articulate a deep understanding of customer needs through external research and internal data for Wealth propositions.
  • Identify and work with key stakeholders to gain buy-in and ensure marketing programs and campaigns are effectively delivered and measured by all areas of the business.
  • Identify and ensure implementation of assigned marketing strategies and plans.
  • Manage agency partners across social, digital, creative, and media.
  • Be a customer champion and adopt agile ways of working.
Leadership & Teamwork
  • Own relationships on behalf of Marketing Function with all proposition and product stakeholders.
  • Lead on strategic areas assigned within the Marketing team, ensuring appropriate Marketing support is provided to these solution sets.
  • Lead and leverage appropriate resources to deliver Marketing plans and activities.
  • Champion commerciality across marketing and business, including access to learning opportunities around key strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Hub specialist teams, Performance/Planning, Insight, Brand, Digital Acquisition, and Events, to build strategic, client-centric solutions across the business.
  • Encourage and enable constructive cross-country and cross-business collaboration.
  • Demonstrate Customer Centricity by thinking and acting beyond product sales.
  • Adept and champion agile ways of working in marketing and participate in business value streams, cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate and champion a speak-up culture by challenging actions and behaviors that are not consistent with HSBC's policies and/or the best interests of the business and its customers.
Requirements
  • Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all strategic thinking and implementation of activities.
  • Extensive consumer marketing experience at a management role, ideally with Brand market experience.
  • Strong business acumen and willingness to learn banking industry knowledge.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capability, with hypothetical thinking and making sound judgment.
  • Experienced team leader while being a strong team player, able to work in diverse cultures across countries and across departments with strong stakeholders management skills and excellent relationship building skills.
  • Experienced in project management driving for greater value through smart application of resource.
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to think innovatively, shaping and communicating new concepts.
  • Excellent language skills – English, Chinese, Cantonese/Putonghua – both spoken and written.
