Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Finance Manager to join our team at the City University of Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial management support to our organization, including preparing financial reports, forecasts, and analysis, as well as assisting in budget preparation and financial system development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and budgetary control in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Develop and analyze financial viability proposals to support business growth and development.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide administrative support to working groups and committees as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with relevant professional qualifications and at least 5 years' post-qualification experience in all accounting functions. You will also need to have strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, is also required. Experience in Oracle Financial System and implementation of other financial systems would be an advantage.
