Finance Manager – Membership Club/Hospitality Finance Manager – Membership Club/Hospitality Reporting To: General Manager (solid line); Dotted line to Ownership Summary We are looking for a hands‑on and strategic Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be managing the day‑to‑day accounting functions while providing critical insights to drive profitability and safeguard the club's financial interests. This role is pivotal in partnering with department heads to achieve budgetary goals and requires a unique blend of strong technical accounting skills, commercial acumen, and exceptional people leadership. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounts Receivable. Ensure robust purchase and cost control systems are in place to protect the company's targeted profit and profit margin. Manage cash flow, forecasting, and treasury functions. Implement and monitor strong internal controls and financial procedures. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and accountability. Build strong rapport and collaborative relationships within the team and across the organisation, while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Strategic Business Partnership Work closely with Department Head A and other leaders to provide financial analysis, support decision‑making, and drive departmental performance. Collaborate on the development of new business strategies and initiatives to enhance revenue and improve operational efficiency. Systems & Technology Take charge of the financial IT systems, ensuring system uptime, integrity, and continuous improvement to support business needs. Evaluate and recommend technological upgrades to streamline financial processes. Reporting & Compliance Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the General Manager and Ownership. Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Candidate Profile & Experience A minimum of 10‑15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a significant portion within the hospitality industry . Proven track record of advancement, ideally from an Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager level. Extensive hands‑on experience managing teams and the full finance function, including AP, AR, Payroll, and Cost Control. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
