Executive Officer (Innovation) in the Office of the Senior Vice-President (Innovation and Enterprise) (Ref. R/264/25) The appointee will be a key player in driving the University’s innovation success, engaging with cutting‑edge research and commercialisation opportunities. This position offers the opportunity to engage with professors, investors, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to drive transformative initiatives and foster a vibrant culture of innovation. The role emphasises account management, relationship‑building, and tracking progress to ensure the success of innovation‑driven projects. Duties Coordinate and administer innovation project funding schemes by fostering collaborations between faculty members, investors, and industry partners to drive commercialisation of academic research; Act as a key account manager, maintaining strong relationships with professors, investors, and external stakeholders to support innovation ecosystems; Organise engaging events, training workshops and networking sessions that foster innovation within diverse stakeholder groups; Provide essential secretarial and administrative support during committee meetings and funding applications to drive forward innovative initiatives; Provide administrative support for innovation initiatives, including preparing reports, managing communications, and tracking project milestones; Monitor and track project progress through effective documentation and proactive follow‑ups to ensure alignment with strategic goals; Support the development of business opportunities by identifying and exploring new technologies and market trends in collaboration with leading academics and investors; and Perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements A Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 3 years’ relevant experience in administrative or project coordination roles, preferably in innovation, commercialisation, or business development; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a people‑oriented approach to building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders; Proven account management experience to independently manage accounts and track project progress, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction; Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively; Business mindset with a passion for innovation research projects and driving transformative initiatives forward; and Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are required. Salary and Conditions of Service Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed‑term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
