Officer, Communications & External Affairs and Member Services (Ref: CEA&MS/O) The Law Society seeks applications from enthusiastic, competent and suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Officer, Communications and External Affairs and Member Services Department. Job Duties Assist in the organization of functions and activities, classes, seminars, webinars, receptions and other Department functions. Work with external parties including PR agencies and other service providers. Arrange and participate in meetings of committees and working parties; draft agenda, papers and minutes and perform related work. Assist in the application and operation of Government funding schemes for the benefit of the profession/members. Prepare budgets, reports and proposals. Handle phone calls from members and the public. Assist in the development of new mobile apps and/or other solutions identified. Assist in initiatives and projects identified and/or relevant to the Department, including IT‑related projects. Assist the Department in providing services to and advancing interests of its members. Requirements Degree holder with at least 3 years' experience in event management. Additional experience in member engagement or customer service is an advantage. Independent and good team player; strong communication skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office and Chinese Word Processing. Traveling may be required. Immediate availability is preferred.
