Job Description To lead and manage the Private Clients team in Hong Kong, ensuring effective, efficient and profitable operations. Working closely with the Regional Head of Private Clients and Business Development team, the Director will oversee service standards, build profitable client relationships and promote a culture of teamwork. Main Responsibilities Clients Manage day‑to‑day administration tasks of the local Private Client team, delegating workloads professionally and timely while ensuring risk mitigation. Maintain a broad understanding of trust and corporate administration, AML, compliance, and relevant legislation. Ensure compliance with Group procedures and manage operational workloads to minimise risk. Serve as a director on client companies and as a bank signatory when required. Provide technical guidance, training and career development to maximize staff potential. Business Development Collaborate with the Regional Private Client Head and Business Development team on onboarding of new clients, drafting proposals, attending pitches and events. Develop close relationships with clients and intermediaries, expanding services through a deep understanding of their structures. Operational Ensure prompt billing and cash collection, met financial targets including utilisation. Liaise with support functions and other Service Lines on operational matters. Assist in the development, review and implementation of local policies and procedures. Build a network of prospective intermediaries, identifying areas for growth. Advise senior management on operational matters and reporting preparation. Support Ocorian’s strategy, generating innovative ideas that challenge the status quo. Perform any other duties reasonably required for the role. Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience Advanced technical knowledge of trust & corporate products, investments, accounting, tax law, legislation and regulation, including discretionary trusts, reserved power trusts, irrevocable trusts, private trust companies, family office structuring and relevant tax incentives. Relevant professional qualification (ACCA, ICSA or STEP preferred) and a minimum of eight years of trust‑industry experience at management level. Excellent organisational and client‑management skills, full knowledge of current legislation and local regulatory environment. Professional demeanor, ability to relate to all levels, and responsiveness to client needs. Strong people‑management skills, integrity, excellent written and oral communication, and multitasking ability. Experience delivering in‑house training and seminars on technical trust matters. Self‑motivation, proactivity, good interpersonal and communication skills; flexibility to attend after‑hours functions when relevant. In‑depth knowledge of Ocorian’s strategy, procedures, policies, compliance and technical issues to act as a role model. Ability to communicate in Mandarin with Chinese‑speaking clients is desirable.
