Group Financial Controller

This is the peak group-level financial leadership role in a major, publicly-listed Hong Kong conglomerate. The scope is defined by three numbers: you will be responsible for the financial control, consolidation, and strategic planning across over 100 subsidiaries , leading a team of 60+ finance professionals , and upholding the financial governance of a multi-billion dollar enterprise. Reporting directly to the CFO, your decisions will ensure market confidence, guide strategic investments, and protect the assets of the entire group. This role commands an annual salary of HKD $2.5 million , reflecting its critical nature. Your role: Governance & Control: Design, implement, and monitor the group's financial control, risk management, and internal audit frameworks to ensure integrity and compliance across all entities. Team Leadership & Development: Directly lead, mentor, and develop a large finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and building a robust talent pipeline. Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Take full ownership of the group's financial reporting and consolidation, ensuring flawless accuracy and adherence to HK Listing Rules and IFRS. Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning process, providing critical analysis to support executive decision-making. Treasury & Corporate Development: Oversee complex treasury functions and provide financial leadership on mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities. You Are The Right Fit If You: Have a proven track record of establishing robust financial controls and processes within a large, multi-subsidiary environment. Excel at leading and developing large, diverse teams, and can effectively influence stakeholders at the board and C-suite level. Are driven by the challenge of scaling financial operations and providing the insight that guides strategic business growth. A qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA) with 15+ years of experience , including 5 years in a senior financial leadership role within a listed company or a large multinational . Demonstrable experience managing the financial consolidation for a group with 100+ subsidiaries . Deep, practical expertise in HK Listing Rules and IFRS. Fluency in English and Mandarin or Cantonese.
