Responsibilities Lead initiatives to boost student participation and school spirit. Support enrichment activities and school events. Strengthen parental engagement through clear communication and progress updates. Deliver dynamic, inclusive, and effective lessons. Foster creativity, problem‑solving and design thinking. Use data‑driven strategies to support diverse learning needs. Integrate digital tools to enhance learning experiences. Serve as a Form Tutor and contribute to the IB curriculum. Develop and implement curriculum‑aligned lesson plans. Ensure rigorous assessment and timely feedback. Contribute to curriculum innovation and quality assurance. Engage in continuous professional learning. Reflect on practice to improve teaching effectiveness. Uphold school values and contribute to a positive school culture. Qualifications Qualified to Bachelor of Education or an appropriate degree with PGCE in English Language. Qualified Teacher Status. Experience teaching in a UK and/or international environment. Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience. Knowledge and understanding of students’ learning and development in English Language practice. Knowledge of current educational developments in English Language. Evidence of wider educational development knowledge. Experience raising standards for all groups of students. Ability to plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate lessons as part of the school curriculum. Knowledge of the English National Curriculum and related subject content. Knowledge of assessment and reporting procedures. Knowledge of IGCSE, A Level and IB syllabus and associated exam arrangements. Ability to integrate technology into classroom learning. Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in. Compliance with visa requirements for working. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
