Overview Remuneration: $127,947 – $150,830 + 17% super + leave loading (commensurate with experience) Location: UNSW Kensington Campus, NSW, Australia Employment type: Full‑time – Continuing Application deadline: December 8 at 11:30pm Key Responsibilities Conduct on‑campus and online classes, assess student learning and support undergraduate and postgraduate courses in line with UNSW policy. Design, develop learning activities and resources and provide assessment and feedback using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments. Conduct independent or team research projects under limited supervision and design research projects. Mentor and guide students and colleagues, supervise HDR students and develop the next generation of academics. Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and NAATI certification. Make a positive contribution to School meetings, seminars and participate in School/Faculty committees as required. Skills and Experience Summary PhD in Interpreting or Translation Studies and work experience as an interpreter and/or translator. NAATI certification in Interpreting and/or Translation in English and one of: Mandarin, Indonesian, Russian or Spanish. Demonstrated research track record with high quality, high impact outcomes and evidence of research leadership. Significant involvement with the profession and/or industry (e.g., AUSIT membership). Experience teaching and learning design at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence. Ability to supervise research students to completion. Experience using and designing educational technologies and online delivery methods. Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. High‑level communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff.
