Retail Director, HK & Macau (Luxury Personal Care/FMCG) Our client is a luxury FMCG business, and they are looking for a Retail Director to join their team. This role will lead the overall retail operation in Hong Kong & Macau and reports directly to the General Manager, and also leading a team. Responsibilities: Business Development & Strategy · Develop and execute strategic plans for both brands to drive growth and market presence. · Identify and evaluate new retail opportunities and support store expansion. · Manage key relationships with landlords, partners, and vendors to secure optimal locations. · Lead retail contract negotiations and support financial planning with GM and Finance. · Monitor market trends and competitors to guide strategic decisions. · Align retail strategies across both brands and leverage operational synergies. · Build and execute sales plans to achieve targets for each brand. · Analyze key retail KPIs and adjust tactics to improve performance. · Support budgeting, forecasting, and manpower planning. · Develop performance metrics and incentive programs. · Partner with Marketing and CRM to deliver campaigns and cross-brand opportunities. · Benchmark competitors and monitor trading conditions to identify growth opportunities. · Act as main liaison between HQ and field teams for VM, training, and campaign execution. · Structure and lead field teams by brand to ensure strong service and brand representation. · Coach, mentor, and develop high‑performing retail teams. · Drive operational excellence across both brands while respecting their identities. · Assess store and retail staff performance and implement improvement plans. · Partner with Education teams on brand‑specific and shared training initiatives. Requirements: · 15 plus years of experience in retail operations with strong leadership experience · Experience in luxury retail, especially in FMCG or personal care items will be advantageous · Proven track record in driving sales performance across department stores and specialty retailers. · Strong knowledge of key retailers’ operational practices. · Strong business acumen, financial agility, and strategic vision. · Project management expertise, from ideation to execution, with a solution‑driven approach. · Strong leadership and talent development skills—ability to inspire high‑performing teams. · Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in multicultural environments.
