Lloyd’s List has an exciting opportunity for a Reporter, working in the editorial team that spans the world. This is a full‑time, permanent role and will report to the APAC Editor. Role Profile The Reporter role in the Lloyd’s List editorial team is tasked with creating daily content for Lloyd’s List and the wider Lloyd’s List Intelligence business, where required. The Reporter will work closely with the APAC Editor and Deputy APAC Editor in creating and developing data‑led analysis and unique insight to the high standards of Lloyd’s List editorial guidelines. This role is based on a balanced working model between home and our office in Hong Kong or Shanghai. Key Responsibilities Produce daily insight and analysis for the Lloyd’s List website and other channels. Attend local and international news conferences, industry events, webinars, conference calls, etc. Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders. Essential What we are looking for: Experience in reporting on shipping matters or a related field such as finance or commodities. Interest in the shipping industry and how today’s geopolitical landscape is reshaping global trade. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks daily and meet tight deadlines. High proficiency in written and verbal English. Strong knowledge of media law. Advanced communication skills to engage with both colleagues and industry C‑suite executives. Proficiency in MS office suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Desirable Experience in maritime reporting. Experience with content management systems such as Sitecore. Digital editing and production skills including data visualisations, audio and video. An existing network of industry contacts. Benefits Insert country benefits here.
