PERSOL SNAPSHOT Our client, a reputable logistics company, is seeking an APAC Senior Tax Manager to oversee and manage corporate tax matters across the region. English and Chinese proficiency are required. The role involves occasional travel, offers hybrid work arrangements and strong career development opportunities. Job Title: APAC Senior Tax Manager Location: Hong Kong (Hybrid) Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, regulatory filings, and audit responses across multiple jurisdictions. Track legislative and regulatory developments and provide timely, proactive guidance to the business. Ensure comprehensive compliance with APAC and U.S. tax regulations, including corporate tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing requirements. Develop and implement tax‑efficient strategies for cross‑border and international transactions. Identify potential tax risks and design mitigation measures to ensure full compliance with applicable laws. Support strategic tax planning, including transfer pricing arrangements and intercompany structuring. Oversee tax provisioning, deferred tax calculations, and related financial reporting under GAAP/IFRS. Ensure accurate assessment of tax exposures and support budgeting and forecasting of tax liabilities. Partner with finance teams to align tax considerations with broader business and financial objectives. Serve as a key advisor to senior management on APAC tax matters and implications. Work collaboratively with finance, legal, and regional leadership teams to uphold regulatory compliance. Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors to ensure effective communication and issue resolution. Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIA. Corporate tax experience from a public accounting firm or in‑house tax team. Over 4 years of handling a managerial role. Strong understanding of regional tax rules and international tax regulations. Skilled in tax research, planning, and compliance, with the ability to prepare technical tax documentation. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. Proficiency in English and Chinese (written and spoken). Willing to travel when required.
