Our client Jebsen Consumer Products Company Limited is seeking an Assistant Category Manager to join their team What you’ll be doing? Maximise sales and profitability: Design and develop category direction, including pricing and promotion for assigned category and subcategory. Engage with vendors: Proactively engage with principals/vendors to secure promotional support, such as sales rebates or self-through initiatives. Conduct market research: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive factors, and customer preferences. Monitor revenue and inventory: Closely monitor revenue, margin, and inventory to meet business objectives and propose recommendations to maximise revenue and gross profit and keep inventory at optimal levels. Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Work closely with different internal stakeholders, including operation, marketing, and supply chain teams, to propose, implement, and monitor promotional and merchandising programs. Drive new product launches: Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including operation, marketing and E‑commerce teams, to drive new product launch plans. Provide category updates: Play as a ‘Category Lead’ to provide category updates for all internal stakeholders. Coordinate ad hoc projects: Lead and coordinate ad hoc projects whenever necessary. Who are they looking for? Bachelor’s degree: A Bachelor’s degree is required for this role. 7‑8 years of experience: Minimum 7‑8 years of experience in category management within the consumer goods industry, with experience in the pet industry being an advantage. Proven track record: A proven track record of successful product launches and category growth. Good communication skills: Good communication skills and good command of English and Chinese are essential for this role. Data analysis proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis tools and the ability to interpret complex data. ERP and OMS experience: Experience in ERP and OMS, with experience in Oracle being an advantage. Why should you consider this opportunity?
