Senior Legal Counsel, a Leading Fintech Firm Act as a reliable legal counsel to internal teams, delivering actionable, business-oriented, and accurate advice across all stages of legal issues. Perform thorough legal assessments and provide strategic input on commercial agreements, terms of service, special initiatives, and other company-related matters involving stakeholders. Oversee all corporate governance matters to ensure full compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding the company's legal position. Identify and minimize contractual risks through robust strategies and industry-leading practices. Partner with business units to maintain regulatory compliance, secure required licenses, and address legal challenges in multiple jurisdictions. Support business expansion efforts by managing legal risks effectively and maximizing opportunities. Offer legal expertise for internal funding activities, including the design and negotiation of financing deals, while ensuring strategic alignment and regulatory adherence. Design and deliver legal training sessions to boost organizational awareness of legal issues and foster strong risk management culture. Keep abreast of evolving laws, regulatory updates, and sector best practices to offer forward-thinking guidance. Coordinate with outside lawyers and professional advisors when required. Requirements JD or LLM from a well-regarded law school, with qualification in a common law jurisdiction in Hong Kong. At least 8 years of PQE, ideally in fintech or financial services, with deep knowledge of commercial contracts, M&A, alliances, regulatory compliance, and licensing. Superior drafting, research, and analytical abilities, combined with keen commercial insight. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of fostering strong ties with internal and external parties. Demonstrated capacity to operate autonomously and handle competing demands in a dynamic setting. Robust problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, focused on delivering pragmatic and business-friendly outcomes. Proficient in written and spoken English, with fluency in Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin, or both). #J-18808-Ljbffr
