Senior Campus Management Officer in the Facilities Management Office Reporting to the Campus Management Manager, the appointee’s main duties include: Act as the person in charge of the designated sites (on campus or off campus) for campus management and overseeing new buildings and facilities; Manage and supervise a team of in-house staff with forward planning in staff deployment; Manage and monitor the services of security, cleaning and pest control, as well as other service providers for the maintenance of security systems, and cleaning/emergency equipment; Be responsible for the general management and order of the campus, and draft working instructions as directed; Engage proactively with user departments to manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of the University; Conduct reviews on the University’s facilities in terms of adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvement; Handle emergency incidents, enquiries, and complaints from users and provide effective solutions; Conduct investigations against in-house staff, contractors, or crime cases if required, with written submissions as directed; Perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Building/Engineering/Housing/Facilities Management or related disciplines, preferably with professional qualifications, with at least 5 years’ experience (for degree holders) or 8 years’ experience (for diploma holders) in estates and/or maintenance management; Solid experience in and knowledge of operating and maintaining building and/or services installations; Being highly motivated and reliable in discharging duties with minimal supervision; Strong leadership skills; Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese are required. Candidates with proficiency in Putonghua, knowledge of basic office computer software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and experience in taking over buildings from main contractors are preferred. Salary and Conditions of Service Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
