We are hiring for one of our portfolio companies and they're looking for an Event Producer to join their team. The Event Producer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end production of events, including large commercial events and smaller entertainment or non-commercial initiatives. This role requires a creative and detail-oriented individual with strong project management skills, a passion for events, and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
In this role, you will:
- Plan, organize, and execute events ranging from large-scale commercial productions to smaller non-commercial or entertainment-focused gatherings.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Source and negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers, securing the best resources for each event.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to define event objectives, themes, and goals.
- Oversee event logistics, including timelines, schedules, production workflows, and on-site execution.
- Coordinate and supervise event staff, contractors, and volunteers, ensuring smooth operations during the event.
- Work with the creative team to develop event branding, themes, and visual concepts.
- Evaluate event performance post-production, gathering feedback and providing reports with actionable insights for future improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to bring innovative ideas and improvements to events.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
- 3+ years of experience in event production, project management, or a related role.
- Proven track record of managing both large-scale events and smaller, intimate gatherings successfully.
- Strong skills in budget management, vendor negotiation, and resource allocation.
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse teams, stakeholders, and clients.
- Creative problem-solving ability and adaptability under pressure, especially during on-site execution.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools (e.g., Asana, Cvent, Eventbrite, etc.).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required by event schedules.
