Role Overview Kraken is hiring a Sr. Institutional Relationship Manager to expand our client base and generate new revenue across APAC. In this role you will build meaningful relationships with institutional clients—asset managers, hedge funds, banks and other financial institutions—and promote Kraken’s comprehensive suite of offerings, including spot, futures, derivatives, custody, staking, API solutions and more. Key Responsibilities Support the institutional sales effort across APAC, driving client and volume growth for the institutional Kraken product suite. Generate, filter, and pursue client leads, responding to inbound opportunities and assisting team members in doing the same. Build trustworthy relationships with our institutional clients, understanding their needs and demonstrating how Kraken can generate value for them. Partner with Marketing, Product, Strategy, and Business Development teams to provide market intelligence, develop new product features, and leverage competitive advantages. Participate in industry events and conferences to generate leads and enhance Kraken’s institutional brand presence. Advocate for Kraken by promoting our full product suite and company values to new and existing clients. Qualifications Over 4 years of experience in trading environments with a proven track record of driving sales and expanding business within the institutional sales segment. Experience at a crypto company, driving adoption of financial products for institutional clients—from OTC and prime brokerage to custody, API solutions, and beyond. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to tackle complex business challenges and turn insights into innovative solutions. Deep understanding of cryptocurrency regulations and ability to navigate constantly evolving regulatory landscapes while maintaining full compliance. Well‑established network across the financial services world, with deep relationships among institutional and corporate clients that open doors and drive opportunity. Motivated to grow as a sales professional, always chasing new opportunities and unafraid to push boundaries or try something new. Excellent teamwork values; success is achieved when the whole team wins together. Passion for the cryptocurrency world and a learning attitude toward new crypto‑industry trends. Located in APAC, with fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).
