Position Summary WRISE is seeking a foundational leader to build and own the Global Market Analytics & Client Insights function from the ground up. This is a high‑impact, high‑visibility role for a pragmatic visionary who can thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will be the architect of our data‑driven strategy, creating the insights engine that fuels our growth across all business lines and geographies. Your work will directly identify new market opportunities, optimise client acquisition, and unlock powerful synergies between our asset management, insurance, and IPO advisory units. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Commercial Impact: Serve as the strategic advisor to the Group CEO and business line leaders on market opportunities, client needs, and competitive dynamics. Go beyond reporting; deliver actionable, commercial recommendations that directly influence market entry, product development, M&A targets, and cross‑selling strategies. Build a unified view of our client segments and market potential across diverse entities and regulatory jurisdictions. Establish the data‑driven culture for the entire group, creating the playbook for how we use insights. Function Building & Hands‑On Execution: Build from Scratch: Establish the entire insights infrastructure—from selecting data tools to hiring the first analysts and defining processes. Be Hands‑On: Initially, you will be an individual contributor and a player/coach, expected to dive into data, conduct interviews, and build models yourself before scaling a team. Manage the budget strategically, prioritising high‑impact initiatives with a clear ROI. Develop a holistic view of the global market landscape, including market sizing, growth trends, segmentation, and emerging disruptions. Lead advanced competitive intelligence to anticipate competitor moves and identify white‑space opportunities. Monitor macroeconomic and industry‑specific trends to assess potential risks and opportunities. Market Expansion & Client Insights: Drive market‑sizing and feasibility studies for new geographic expansions (e.g., evaluating market entry into Southeast Asia or GCC countries with main focus on China and Hong Kong). Develop a deep understanding of the Asian UHNW client and corporate founder—their unique needs, behaviours, and intergenerational planning concerns across different cultures. Create a framework for tracking the competitive landscape, from global private banks to local boutiques and FinTechs. Data Synthesis & Pragmatic Analytics: Integrate data from disparate sources (CRM, transaction records, public markets data, third‑party providers) to create a cohesive picture of client and market activity. Focus on delivering "quick wins" and scalable, pragmatic analytics—from building a master dashboard of key metrics to developing a client segmentation model—that provide immediate value. Champion data integrity and governance across the group, ensuring compliance with varying regional regulations (e.g., MAS, HKMA, DFSA). Qualifications & Experience Required: 8–12 years of experience in a combination of top‑tier management consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain), a leading financial services firm, and/or a high‑growth FinTech/tech company. Proven experience in a "build‑from‑scratch" environment. You are an entrepreneurial self‑starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and creating structure. Deep familiarity with at least one, and exposure to others, of our core business lines: asset management, insurance, or investment banking/corporate finance. Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to translate data into a compelling business case and influence senior stakeholders. Hands‑on technical proficiency with data visualization (Tableau, Power BI) and analytics; SQL is a must. Experience with Python/R is a strong plus. Both written and communication skills with proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) are a must for our key markets in China and Hong Kong.
