We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, FC Risk Analysis and Discovery Asia. In this role you will need: FC Risk Assessment is a research and analytics team that supports the Bank’s lines of business and Compliance function with proactive insights on financial crime trends and typologies that present risks for the Bank. The team supports all of HSBC’s Asia markets and covers all financial crime disciplines, including money laundering, fraud and sanctions. We work with stakeholders from across the Bank to ensure the end-to-end flow from risk identification through to risk mitigation. The role holder will be responsible for producing high-quality research products by using a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis. Critical skills include the ability to integrate complex risk-related information from multiple sources, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to identify trends and pertinent information from within broad datasets. The role holder must be curious, proactive and innovative in their approach to research and analysis, and adept at using open- and closed-source intelligence to produce analysis and assessments with high business impact. To be successful you will need: Degree holder (or equivalent) with demonstrated analytical (qualitative and quantitative) and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail Very strong analytical, decision making, lateral thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to identify links between programmes of work Strong team player with a proactive and self-motivated attitude and ability to think and act independently Experience with data analytics (e.g., interpretation and transformation of data sets; delivering intelligence insights from raw data; producing effective and innovative data visualisations) Knowledge of and/or background in financial crime (including money laundering, sanctions evasion, and/or fraud). Experience with network analysis would be an asset A keen interest in business, banking and current affairs is desirable. Professional-level English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is desirable.
