The BP&A Manager is responsible for supporting the Head of BP&A – Group Finance Asia in executing finance activities for M&S Asia. This role involves financial planning, reporting, month‑end close and accounting, investment analysis, and business partnering. The BP&A Manager will manage complexities across the Food & Clothing product range and oversee full P&L management of Hong Kong stores, including mixed and standalone food stores, an e‑commerce platform, and third‑party delivery partners. Support for broader Asia issues may also be required as needed. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting: • Prepare strategic plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. • Develop action plans to achieve strategic goals, budgets, and forecasts. • Create and manage presentations for Marks & Spencer Leadership. • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to Retail Finance teams. Reporting: • Conduct regular operational and financial performance report reviews with stakeholders. • Perform comprehensive analysis of variances against budget and prior year performances, recommending action plans for improvement. • Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis to support business decisions. Month-End Activities: • Collaborate with the shared service finance team to ensure accurate accounting during month‑end and year‑end. Business Partnering / Commercial Support: • Partner with other departments within Marks & Spencer, focusing on:   Clothing: Margin management, OTB, markdowns, promotions, and sales forecasts.   Food: Margin management and waste monitoring.   Logistics: Freight & load factor, warehousing, and distribution.   E‑commerce: Website performance and third‑party delivery management. • Produce business cases and conduct investment analysis for key business decisions. Ad‑hoc Responsibilities: • Manage capital expenditures (Capex). Requirements CPA/ACCA/equivalent. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a relevant finance role. Expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; good working knowledge of other MS Office applications. Familiarity with SAP. Strong interpersonal, analytical, planning, and organizational skills. Excellent business acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
