Overview Account Executive (Enterprise) – Hong Kong at EDB. This role is responsible for driving growth in the Hong Kong market, executing the go-to-market strategy, and providing strong coverage in the region. Responsibilities Achieve plan and overall revenue targets for the region (New Recurring Revenue, Renewal Recurring Revenue and Consulting Services). Create Account Plans for strategic accounts and manage an account-based growth strategy to achieve country quotas. Maintain strong C-suite relationships to drive expansion, growth, and retention across Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong. Knowledge of the China and/or Taiwan market is an added advantage. Identify, qualify, develop, and close new opportunities for software subscriptions and related consulting services. Optimize and align structures to capitalize on growth opportunities within existing customer expansion and new logo acquisition. Create and sustain a sales performance culture that exceeds stakeholder expectations, and collaborate with regional and global resources to maximize customer success and revenue growth. Manage HK major accounts and drive business from the territory; maintain high-touch engagement with customers. Work closely with local partnerships and leverage a high-touch sales motion. Collaboration Lead and align the sales function with management guidance; ensure clear priorities across the region. Collaborate with partners regionally to reflect customer voice in product, innovation, and proposition development. Establish strong cross-functional partnerships to remove obstacles to sales execution. Manage account information and sales lifecycle using Salesforce and related tools; maintain account profiles, plans, and activity reports. Forecast and roadmap opportunities with accurate quarterly and annual expectations. Strategic Account Management Serve as the primary executive contact for assigned enterprise accounts; cultivate relationships with C-suite stakeholders. Develop and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth, retention, and expansion. Understand customers’ business priorities and align solutions accordingly. Sales Leadership Lead complex deal cycles with enterprise customers, including negotiations and multi-stakeholder alignment. Partner with pre-sales, delivery, and support to ensure customer success and value realization. Consistently achieve and exceed annual sales targets and performance metrics. Executive Engagement Build trusted advisor relationships with CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other senior executives. Represent the company at industry events and executive briefings. Provide regular business reviews and performance updates to internal leadership and customer executives. Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications 8+ years of hands-on selling experience with HK customers in high-touch IT solutions sales within a complex market. 5+ years of selling databases to enterprise customers. Experience with subscription-based models and working with System Integrators and partners. Familiarity with working with HK large customers and HK software distributors/sellers. Strong track record in high-growth environments focused on new logos and customer expansion. Experience selling open-source software is a plus; disruptive market approach is a plus. Solution sales approach with value in packaging consulting services. Graduate degree is a must; postgraduate degree is a plus. Ability to respond to market changes by adjusting strategies and priorities. Collaborative with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization; strong written and verbal communication; strong business and analytical acumen.
