You will be responsible for:
- Working as a team to liaise, coordinate and manage various internal and external parties in order to execute the specification of Performing Arts (PA) venues and facilities in West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA);
- Developing, planning and coordinating with various internal and external parties to fulfill the users' requirements of technical systems and equipment for PA venues and facilities in WKCDA;
- Conducting research and benchmarking on the requirements of performing arts facilities, facility operations, and technical system equipment to serve future needs;
- Defining and specifying the user requirements of technical support of the PA facilities;
- Setting up and managing technical documentation, database, and drawings to facilitate and coordinate within the Performing Arts Division, and between other Divisions and Teams;
- Assisting in material and shop drawing submission reviews for theatre-related areas and associated infrastructure to ensure compliance with design intent and user requirements;
- Planning, procuring, supervising, and handing over the operations of the technical/theatre equipment in WKCDA venues in accordance with the menu/protocol/practice set out;
- Contributing to procurement and cost estimation related exercises for Furniture, Fittings, and Equipment (FF&E);
- Planning and developing technical productions operational plans including manpower requirements, hiring structure and process, policy and operating procedures, Back-of-house operations, etc.;
- Facilitating quality control and defect management of theatre-related areas during construction and defect liability period;
- Assisting in training and developing Theatre Technical Services and production staff as required;
- Planning, coordinating, and managing the events (production & technical aspect) as assigned.
You should:
- Possess a recognised university degree or equivalent;
- Possess at least 8 years of experience in management positions in performing arts venues, theatre companies, or production companies;
- Have solid experience in theatre or entertainment building projects, theatre installation projects, system integration projects, and/or solution design projects or equivalent, and/or;
- Have solid experience and knowledge in theatre venue operations, and/or;
- Possess strong supervisory skills in the use of technical facilities in performing arts venues and in theatrical production;
- Have good knowledge in Audio-visual and IT systems (an advantage);
- Exhibit strong communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills in English, preferably in Cantonese and Putonghua;
- Possess good presentation skills with colleagues and stakeholders of all levels;
- Have experience and knowledge in drawing skills and techniques such as AutoCAD, Intergraph, 3D modelling, and graphic design (preferable).
