Head of Retail - Confectionery (F&B) Retail Brand Head of Retail - Confectionery (F&B) Retail Brand About the Role As the Head of Retail , you will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day excellence of retail outlets. You will provide inspirational leadership to retail teams, driving commercial success. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Business Growth: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets, maximize profitability, and expand the brand's footprint across all retail outlets. Team Leadership & Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to retail team. Foster a positive, engaging, and high-performing culture. Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, training, and development. Commercial & Financial Management: Oversee all financial aspects of the retail department, including budgeting, managing store expenses, and analyzing sales performance to meet and exceed targets. Manage inventory levels to optimize sales and minimize waste or obsolescence. Customer Experience & Brand Standards: Ensure a seamless and wonderful customer journey that exceeds expectations. Maintain the highest brand standards in product presentation, store hygiene, and service. Inventory & Product Management: Oversee stock control, implement efficient inventory tracking systems, and manage sensitive products with care (e.g., temperature, light exposure). Marketing & Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with marketing teams to create and implement effective promotional campaigns and events. Oversee the development of compelling merchandising strategies and cyclical displays to make the product offer always fresh and appealing. Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong, productive relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in retail management, including in a senior leadership role. A track record of successfully leading retail operations and meeting sales targets is essential. In-depth knowledge of retail industry trends, customer behavior, and market dynamics. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial. Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, managing P&L, and interpreting financial reports. Skills in inventory management, sales performance analysis, and strategic planning. Proficiency with retail technology, point‑of‑sale systems, and data analytics.
