Senior Supply Chain Specialist (Carrier Management) Add expected salary to your profile for insights Our Supply Chain Management team is expanding We invite now high calibre talent to apply for Senior Supply Chain Specialist and join our rapidly growing team in Hong Kong. This position supports developing a competitive global ocean freight strategy with a fast‑paced, successful team. The primary purpose of this role is to drive ocean freight commercial and operational activities, with a focus on reefer commodity and support the wider team which looks after global ocean freight management. Responsibilities Be the subject‑matter expert in the team on ocean freight operations Establish regular carrier performance reports and drive continuous improvement from service providers Analyze data and produce quality management reports Resolve ocean freight‑related operational escalations from different inbound markets Support ocean freight tender review, negotiations, cost, and service analysis to drive business decisions Administer carrier service agreements and contract fulfilment compliance Analyze ocean freight market updates and provide insights to internal stakeholders Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements on ocean freight and identify solutions and establish processes to meet those requirements Monitor shipment‑related risks and trigger contingency plans to minimise impact to fulfilment Engage in Supply Chain Management projects, working with cross‑functional teams to drive harmonised end‑to‑end solutions Support the Manager on ad‑hoc tasks as assigned Your Profile At least 8 years of relevant experience in similar positions gained in a sizable organisation Data‑driven mindset with the ability to dissect large sets of data Strong knowledge in ocean freight operations with direct carriers, NVOCC, and 3PLs, primarily but not limited to carrier forecasting and capacity management Understanding of ocean freight commercials, tender negotiations and contract administration Knowledge of reefer ocean operations is preferable Ability to multi‑task and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment Strong team player with influence skills to drive positive results in a multi‑functional team Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills Key Benefits of working at ALDI Market‑leading remuneration package with a guaranteed 13‑month salary Comprehensive group medical insurance covering dental and maternity benefits (subject to eligibility) Group life insurance and travel insurance coverage Full‑time, permanent position, 5‑day workweek with flexible working hours Work‑from‑home arrangement of up to 2 days per week 20 days of paid annual leave Fully paid parental leaves including 14‑week maternity leave and 5‑day paternity leave Additional special leaves such as birthday and marriage leave How to apply If you are interested in applying for the job, we look forward to receiving your full application in English, including salary expectation and possible starting date.
