Further information about Lingnan University is available at Applications are now invited for the following post: Student Affairs ManagerOffice of Student Affairs(Post Ref.: 25/304) The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is responsible for the provision of desirable services for students of the University and enhancing their learning experience. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to fostering whole‑person development and a vibrant campus life of students. Responsibilities Lead the Team of Integrated Learning Programme (ILP*) under the Career Planning & Leadership Development Division, assuring that it contributes to the evolving mission of the OSA and the attainment of the University strategic goal pertaining to “Offering Multi-campus Learning Experience”. Oversee the administration and finance of ILP, including among others, selecting and inviting instructors, scheduling courses, manning the registration system, conducting evaluation, preparing financial reports, and serving as the secretary for the ILP Committee. Develop non-credit-bearing mass programmes and campus-wide events to enhance students’ whole‑person development, such as the Exploration Week for new students, University Assembly, the joint venture with renowned universities in the Chinese Mainland and globally, as well as the flagship project on promoting and inheriting Chinese culture. Collaborate with internal units and external parties to implement prevailing programmes and devise new initiatives which contribute to the broadening of student horizons. Take charge of the secretariat of some University working groups and panels, on top of the ILP Committee, as and when necessary. Assist in the office-wide duties, such as New Student Orientation and Award Presentation Ceremony. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s). Requirements A recognised Bachelor’s Degree in education, public administration, cultural studies or relevant disciplines. At least 10 years’ post-qualification work experience, with at least 6 years at executive level, preferably with tertiary institutions or sizeable organisations. A sound knowledge about and well versed in managing co-curricular activities. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). A high level of IT competence. An excellent mastery of logical thinking, analytical, interpersonal, communication, coordination, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills. A high calibre to carry out duties independently, and work under tight timelines with a positive attitude. Candidates with less/more experience will be considered for appointment at a relevant rank. * ILP is a co-curricular programme of Lingnan University and serves as one of the graduation requirements for all undergraduate students. Salary and Fringe Benefits The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
