Ethical & Social Compliance Manager - Apparel Manufacturing Our client is seeking a seasoned Ethical & Social Compliance Manager to lead global commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable apparel manufacturing. This strategic role will oversee factory compliance programs, strengthen supplier accountability, and embed ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles across our supply chain. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on expertise in ethical audits, sustainability initiatives, and stakeholder engagement, with a proven track record in apparel and accessories manufacturing. What you’ll be doing Develop, implement, and oversee ethical and social compliance programs to ensure responsible operations aligned with industry standards. Lead and mentor compliance teams, setting goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring audit milestones are achieved. Act as a bridge between factories, suppliers, and corporate offices, translating compliance strategies into practical improvements. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and social responsibility. Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate ethical, environmental, and social risks across the supply chain. Investigate and resolve grievances or complaints from supply‑chain workers in line with company policies. Deliver training and tools to suppliers to strengthen capacity in labor rights, health & safety, and environmental management. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against GSP, ETI, and sustainability KPIs, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement. Oversee supplier audit programs (internal and third‑party), ensuring corrective actions are implemented and verified. Champion ESG initiatives, including carbon reduction projects and sustainability performance tracking. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date compliance data in systems such as Sedex and PLM, ensuring transparency and accountability. What we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or related field. Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in social compliance, ethical sourcing, or ESG initiatives within apparel/fashion MNC manufacturing. Strong knowledge of ethical standards, social responsibility frameworks, and relevant regulations, with implementation of corrective actions for the resolution of non‑compliances. Certificate of accredited auditor / ISO 9000 / SA 8000 / ISO 14000 preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of local and international labour laws. Experience working with NGOs, trade unions, and external stakeholders is an advantage. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Strong leadership and project‑management abilities. Excellent communication in English and Mandarin/Cantonese (written and spoken), as well as interpersonal skill. Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. High level of integrity and commitment to ethical conduct. Advanced PC skills on Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Power BI or similar data tools preferred. Willingness to travel frequently across Asia and global supplier regions.
