Senior Events Manager ($60,000 9 Months Govt. Quarry Bay) Responsibilities: Leading a team to plan, monitor and supervise the public relations and communications tasks; Performing project management duties including co‑ordination of media‑related matters, administration of contracts and consultancy agreements; Providing advice on public relations and communications‑related issues; Undertaking managerial‑related duties. Requirements: Hold a Bachelor Degree in journalism, marketing, public relations or design from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent; Specialise in public relations, media communications, web design, user interface and internet applications; Possess not less than ten year’s post‑qualification working experience of communication and marketing in Hong Kong, with at least five years’ experience at position of managerial level; Have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent. (Note) Note: ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. The successful candidate is entitled to nine (9) days paid annual leave within the nine (9) months contract period. The successful candidate is entitled to paid public holiday from the beginning of the nine (9) months contract period. Work Hours: The work hours for the successful candidate is 44 hours gross per week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:48 p.m., including one (1) hour lunch break, from Monday to Friday, except public holidays. Due to operational needs, the successful candidate may be required to start work earlier than 9:00 a.m. or to leave office later than 5:48 p.m., provided that the total working hours remain 44 hours gross per week.
