Learning Director & Head of Individuals and Societies, TLR1 - King George V Leading the I&S faculty in developing and improving teaching and learning. Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community. Promoting effective teacher collaboration focused on curriculum, learning outcomes with a results orientation. Having and developing knowledge and experience of MYP, Cambridge/Edexcel IGCSE, BTEC and IB Diploma group 3 subjects. Working with the KGV Leadership Team to innovate, develop and implement whole school priorities. Developing and evaluating the vision, priorities and goals for I&S to support whole school priorities; implementing these plans. Monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning at all levels within I&S. Managing and developing curriculum at all levels through regular review of schemes of work. Analysing and evaluating data to improve educational outcomes and inform change processes and school improvement priorities. Identifying and planning collaboration, professional development and in-service training for and by staff within the I&S faculty and across KGV. Managing the department budget and physical resources to deliver high-quality learning outcomes. This role will include leadership and responsibility for the I&S MYP curriculum in years 7 to 9. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Education, or Bachelor's Degree in any subjects with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent Teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation Teaching experience and capacity in any of the areas of IB MYP, (I)GCSE, IB DP would be an advantage Experience and ability to use data on student learning to modify curriculum, teaching and assessment provision Effective interpersonal skills and ability to form positive relationships with students, staff and parents Skills and attitude to make consistent and positive contributions to the department professional learning teams and other collaborative processes Ability to lead or support extra-curricular activities as part of the whole-school CAS programme Collaborate with SLT at specific occasions across the year to impact whole school strategic direction and improvement The English Schools Foundation (ESF) is the largest English-medium international school organisation in Hong Kong.
