Job Summary Field Service Engineer – Hong Kong. You will perform routine and non‑routine local service support assignments, ensuring quality services are delivered to customers on time. You are responsible for service activities and revenues on key accounts, and support the service team for ad‑hoc activities including standby for the service hotline. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot, repair, and install STERIS and related products, including software, operating systems, network hardware, and applications. Apply troubleshooting techniques to eliminate equipment malfunctions and conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate problems. Maintain communication with the commercial team and Service Manager to advise on sales opportunities in the assigned territory. Keep customers informed about new product or service needs as they arise. Maintain service logs, internal records, diagnostics updates, install base, spare‑part inventory, and other reports. Develop effective relationships with customers, managers, support functions, and the sales and dealer organization. Respond to routine customer and sales questions regarding equipment operation and performance. Provide on‑site support to the sales and dealer organization, identify opportunities, sizing, and utility requirements. Manage and coordinate with contractors for site survey, project tender, site preparation and installation work. Follow customer protocols and health & safety policies when entering and exiting facilities. Conduct end‑user training when required. Actively pursue continuing education opportunities to maintain product knowledge. Qualifications Vocational training, diploma, or bachelor’s degree in engineering. Experience repairing medical, laboratory, and healthcare equipment is an advantage. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Team player with strong problem‑solving and communication skills. Proficient English for reading manuals and communicating effectively. CAD drawing proficiency is beneficial.
