We’re looking for a Middle Office Specialist to: Join the Finance Middle office Trade Support team and provide support for the front office (trading, sales, COO, Prime Broker clients) functions and other operations and finance teams in managing front to back operational risk. Partner with internal stakeholders on a day-to-day basis to assist problem solving and improve process efficiencies / automation. Support the team that undertakes exception Management using vendor platforms to reconcile products traded by the desk on a daily basis. Ensure trade booking practices adhere to predefined models, acting as gateway into the front-to-back infrastructure and maintaining static data maintenance. Learn how to investigate and respond to risk, P&L, settlements, billing, confirmations, legal, credit and IT queries. Help prioritize workload and resolve risk exceptions on a timely basis. Participate in risk review meetings with operational risk, the business and COO to review and explain key risk metrics and trending. Your team You’ll be working in the IB aligned Finance Middle office team in Wuxi, China. The Middle Office team primary control focus is ensuring the completeness and accuracy of transactions from front end risk management systems to downstream systems. As the link between the front office, prime Broker, other operations and finance functions, you'll also be involved in regulatory, client, and process improvement initiatives as required. As a Middle Office Specialist you’ll play an important role in managing the operational risk of the Global Financing Services business and improving the client experience. Your expertise Ideally 2+ years of experience within a middle office and P&L control environment. Great at problem analysis and resolution: identify and examine problems in order to understand them, provide solutions for remediation which are logical, reasonable and realistic.
