Senior Sales Engineer at Thales , Hong Kong Kowloon, Hong Kong We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team in Hong Kong. This role involves engaging with prospects, providing technical demonstrations, and driving solutions that demonstrate the value of our products. Responsibilities Participate in sales conference calls and prospect visits, effectively position Thales solutions through a strategic and value‑based lens, providing relevant and tailored product demonstrations in person and via Zoom, and working with prospects at both a technical and business level to clearly demonstrate how Thales’ solutions can provide value to them. Participate as a technical resource at trade shows and conferences when required. Work with the sales team to strategize on sales approaches to develop and grow the business. Ensure successful on‑site product evaluations and post‑sale installations when necessary. Be the primary customer technical liaison to assist customers with optimizing the value of their investments in Thales solutions and expanding their use cases. Plan, manage, and execute customer product proof of value. Requirements BS degree in Computer Science or related field. 7+ years of experience in technology, cyber security or pre‑sales consulting, complex solution architecture and design, risk & governance, program and project management, or combinations thereof. Experience with IAM, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), risk & controls frameworks, and industry regulations (APP, GDPR, CPS, PCI, SOX, HIPAA). Exposure to network security, database administration, application development or related areas is advantageous. Strong interest in expanding a career in pre‑sales consulting with a leading cyber security vendor and helping organizations protect their applications and data. Understanding of the Hong Kong / Macau market trends and experience working with customers. Deep appreciation for how technology tools fit into business operating models and the ability to engage both business and IT stakeholders. Knowledge of Web Application & API protection, Advanced Bot protection, Client‑Side protection, DNS, RASP, network & application DDoS protection, data activity monitoring, database firewalls, data privacy, scripting/automation languages is desirable. Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are a significant advantage. Fluent in spoken Cantonese and English.
