Job Description The Commercial Manager will play a critical role in our MEP projects, overseeing the commercial aspects from pre‑construction to project completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and a proven track record of managing commercial functions in the MEP sector. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the commercial operations for MEP projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Prepare and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, subcontractor negotiations, and contract administration. Monitor project performance and financial metrics to ensure objectives are met. Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to optimize project delivery and profitability. Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks. Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors. Supervise and mentor the quantity surveying team, ensuring best practices are followed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum 15 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on the MEP sector on the contractor side. Strong understanding of commercial management principles and contracts relevant to MEP projects. Proven ability to manage large‑scale projects and budgets effectively. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in commercial software and project management tools. Professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS) are highly desirable.
