Assistant Merchandising Manager, Onitsuka Tiger Hong Kong

Onitsuka Tiger Hong Kong (OTC), an in‑house company of ASICS Hong Kong, is expanding its global business in Hong Kong and seeks an Assistant Merchandising Manager to oversee category management, implement global assortment strategies, and drive business and financial goals. Responsibilities Product Management • Develop and execute product merchandising plans based on the business plan and sales & margin targets in collaboration with the global headquarters and the Hong Kong team. • Plot focus strategy and concept for products. • Operate SAP, POS, and PLM systems. • Create product assortment plans for the DTC channel. • Manage product launch, supply, rotation, and returns across all channels, including transfers between regions. • Update weekly reports for all channels. • Prepare seasonal and monthly forecasts for all channels. • Plan seasonal buys and replenishments, propose product assortment plans, and allocate stock at the start of each season. • Conduct product training for DTC staff and wholesale partners. • Handle defective issues and report to headquarters. Market Research & 3C Analysis • Research and analyze market environment, various marketplaces, and the 3C framework (Consumer, Company, Competitor) related to merchandising. • Gather and analyze internal information and data, including actual sales figures and product assortment, to evaluate consumption efficiency. • Generate weekly or monthly reports (DTC and wholesale) and submit to headquarters. Trade Show Management • Coordinate with the product operation team on seasonal order placement. • Assist in seasonal trade show preparation and product presentation to wholesale partners and DTC staff. • Arrange samples and showroom displays. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of business experience in merchandising roles within the fashion retail industry. Strong knowledge of product assortment and merchandising processes. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Passionate about the Onitsuka Tiger brand heritage and style. Adaptability to environmental changes with flexibility. Excellent teamwork and self‑motivation. Capability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
