Job Title Carer (Pool) – Permanent Part Time (Meadow Springs, WA) Employer RAAFA WA Location McNamara Lodge, Meadow Springs, Mandurah Job Overview RAAFA WA, with a nearly 100‑year heritage of care, seeks passionate Carers to deliver exceptional support to residents at McNamara Lodge. The role focuses on providing direct care, supporting activities, and maintaining a safe, homelike environment. Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to residents as specified in their care plans. Encourage and promote the activities programme and facilitate resident participation. Assist residents with communication, ensuring their rights, interests, and needs are respected. Respond to resident requests for personal care and other assistance. Maintain accurate resident records using relevant systems in line with policies and procedures. Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe homelike environment for residents. Promote independence and freedom of choice for residents. Collaborate closely with senior clinical staff and multidisciplinary team. Qualifications & Experience Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent. Minimum of 6 months' experience in residential aged care. Availability for 3–4 shifts per week, including varied shifts. Autonomous work ability and strong communication/interpersonal skills. Empathy towards elderly and ability to relate to their needs. Flexible decision‑making and problem‑solving skills. Excellent time‑management and organisational skills. Positive relationship building with residents, families, and staff.
