The Head of Corporate Affairs & Communications will strategically lead the development and execution of integrated communications and marketing strategies that enhance the organization’s reputation, support brand visibility, and engage stakeholders effectively. This role encompasses corporate branding, crisis communication, ESG and marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives.
1. Corporate Communications & Marketing
- Develop and implement comprehensive corporate communication & branding strategies, campaigns, and materials that align with the company’s mission and goals.
- Lead and mentor the corporate communications and marketing team, ensuring a cohesive approach to all initiatives including digital marketing, social media, content marketing, press releases, reports, and public relations.
- Manage media relations, building positive relationships with key media stakeholders and ensuring effective messaging.
- Lead the development and implementation of crisis management & communication strategies to safeguard the company’s reputation during adverse situations.
- Act as one of the Management Risk Committee to identify and assess potential corporate risks and implement necessary measures for enhancement.
- Implement a full range of communications strategies, including corporate, business, and crisis mandates with a view to enhance HKBN’s reputation and brand.
- Provide support on issues management especially during crisis situations. Mitigate reputational risk by monitoring/managing social and mainstream media with an anticipatory approach and right judgment call.
- Support the CEO and senior executives in various media engagements from developing speaking points and media FAQs to media handling.
- Support HKBN’s external profile and narrative building by crafting compelling content, lining up interviews, and developing press materials.
- Engage and align key messages with different internal and external stakeholders including staff, investors, media, community, and regulators.
2. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)
- Drive the development and execution of the company’s ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set and achieve ESG goals, monitor performance, and report on progress.
- Prepare and publish ESG reports to communicate the company’s sustainability efforts and commitments to external stakeholders.
- Stay informed of emerging ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to advise the executive team.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration or a related field.
- Extensive 10+ years’ relevant experience in Corporate Affairs, Marketing, Communications, Stakeholder Engagement, Crisis Management, and ESG with proven leadership experience.
- Working experience in fast-paced businesses or technology industries is preferred.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to influence and engage diverse stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives in complex organizational settings.
- Strong experience in working with Board of Directors or various stakeholders in both Enterprise and Residential/Consumer business preferred.
