About the job Based at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Security Department in Hong Kong, the Security Officer is responsible for maintaining and upholding corporate standards at all times. The Security Officer reports to the Security Manager. As Security Officer, you will be responsible for the following duties: Perform established duties and assignments, ensuring that Hotel and Departmental standards are strictly and consistently maintained. Project an impeccable professional, confident, efficient and reassuring image to all Hotel guests, patrons, visitors and colleagues alike. Ensures high levels of guard tour patrol compliance. Immediate response to security and safety occurrences (e.g. incidents and accidents). Participate in all emergency drills (planned and unplanned) as directed by the Security Manager. Be familiar with all emergency systems (e.g. Fire alarm systems) and equipment (Fire extinguishers etc). Ensure the unimpeded and safe movement of VIP guests into, through and out of the Hotel. Carry out access controls at established Hotel check points (Colleague Entrance and the Loading Bay). Carry out stringent vetting of visitors; contractors and suppliers, scrutinising all forms of identification. Registration of all visitors, contractors and suppliers. Issue visitor passes according to colour coded areas. As Security Officer, we expect from you: Minimum 1 year’s experience of the same capacity in international 5-star luxury hotels. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, open mind of different culture, friendly, approachable and sociable Motivational with enthusiastic character with excellent listening skills Good command in English, knowledge in other languages is an advantage.
