Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi) Department / Section: Language Centre Major Duties Provide technical support in the operation of central controlling system of the computers in language laboratories. Assist in the language laboratories for evening classes. Provide IT-related technical support for staff and/or students. Requirements A recognised diploma or higher certificate in a relevant discipline. At least 2 years’ relevant work experience. Good knowledge of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and networking. Experience in using Windows PC and Mac. Ability to work independently and be a good team player. Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese. Candidates with practical knowledge / skills in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage: Operation and maintenance of central controlling system of the computers in language laboratories, preferably the Sanako Lab 100 Language Laboratory System. Microsoft and Adobe software and application of other common computer / educational software. Notes Shortlisted candidate(s) may be required to attend and pass a trade test. Candidates should specify their related skills / knowledge of equipment and work experience in CV and in section (VII) "OTHER INFORMATION” of the application form.
