Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable MySQL Database Maintenance Administrator to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and optimization of our business databases. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our data systems, which form the backbone of our trading and operational platforms. Key Responsibilities Perform daily database operations, including query execution, configuration, maintenance, and table structure adjustments. Develop a deep understanding of our business database architecture, data distribution, and relational logic. Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve common database issues such as connection timeouts, deadlocks, and slow query performance. Maintain detailed operational logs. Manage database user permissions and implement foundational security measures to protect sensitive data. Collaborate with business teams to optimize SQL queries, conduct basic data analysis (e.g., data summarization, KPI tracking), and support database‑related business requirements. Qualifications & Experience (Essential) Solid understanding of MySQL fundamentals and a minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience in MySQL database maintenance and administration. Proven proficiency in using tools like mysqldump for reliable data backup and recovery operations. Ability to read, write, and optimize standard SQL queries. Foundational knowledge of index design principles. Capability to understand business data structures and perform basic statistical analysis and reporting. Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve routine database faults. A strong sense for monitoring system health (e.g., tracking connection counts, query performance). A responsible, detail‑oriented work ethic with excellent communication and coordination skills to effectively support business teams. Preferred Qualifications (Advantageous) Experience with PHP development. Familiarity with basic Linux system operations (e.g., deploying database environments, executing shell commands).
