We are now looking for a strategic thinker and well-rounded project executor to orchestrate the F&B business transformation from developing new concepts / business models, pitching ideas, developing and overseeing implementation/execution to ensure each project is completed successfully. This role demands a global vision, profound F&B market insight and network, and the ability to turn transformational strategies into measurable commercial returns.

As a Vice President, Group Food & Beverage Transformation Lead, we rely on you to:

  • Define transformational goals, priorities, and KPIs that are aligned with the overarching Shangri-La Group's vision to develop F&B businesses into distinct, stand-alone growth products for the Group
  • Develop and articulate an overall strategy for F&B business transformation in a pragmatic approach that aligns with brand growth strategy, customer expectations, and financial performance targets
  • Collaborate with HQ/Regional/Hotel teams and work with external partners to ensure successful implementation of the F&B transformation strategies.
  • Foster a strong culture of innovation within the F&B team, encouraging the generation of new product concepts, new business models, new governance and incentive structures etc.
  • Implement new dining concepts for various F&B outlets, including All Day Dining Restaurant, Shang Palace / Chinese Outlet, Bar / Lobby Lounge, Teahouse etc.
  • Expand Shangri-La's network with individuals and entities for new concept development and partnership
  • Lead product development efforts to introduce a range of new products that resonate with market trends and enhance the guest/customer experience
  • Leverage market data, customer insights, and competitive analysis to steer product innovation
  • Owner of F&B transformation projects to ensure successful completion of them according to the predefined objectives and targets
  • Form and guide cross-functional project teams through the whole project cycle identify and help resolve challenges of the teams if any

We are looking for someone who:

  • 10+ years of work experience in Management / Strategy Consulting and/or with 5+ years of F&B leadership experience, in a management role with multinational companies within luxury hospitality, premium clubs, chain restaurants, etc.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, global F&B transformation projects with measurable success in innovation and revenue growth
  • Good commercial acumen and strong financial literacy with ability to evaluate and ensure a solid ROI and profitability
  • Organizational skills with ability to deliver a high volume of quality work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Able to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously within tight time frames
  • Resilience in the face of challenges with the flexibility to adapt strategies and plans as needed based on evolving business or market conditions
  • Good understanding of both traditional and new trends in F&B businesses, with experience in implementing technology-driven transformation
  • Good connections in the industry will be an added advantage
  • Superior interpersonal skills reflect leadership ability with the personality to inspire confidence and build teams and the flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive change across multiple levels of the organization
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin preferred
