Client Account Manager – Hong Kong The role will be based in Hong Kong and is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days in the office per week. Responsibilities Acts as the initial point of contact for clients, carriers and other members of the service team. Designs, markets and negotiates client renewals and new business with the insurance carriers. Prepares proposals and attends client meetings to discuss renewal proposals. Develops overall client strategy, interprets and presents benchmark data to clients and ensures plan and program changes are properly implemented in line with the client’s strategy. Assists with the preparation and completion of peer‑review processes and delivers clear, client‑friendly communications. Manages the RFP process with health‑insurance carriers and internal peers. Develops cost projections and evaluates vendor renewal work‑ups used in client meetings. Maintains carrier/vendor relationships, handling administration such as eligibility, claims, billing, plan implementation, contracts, and plan changes. Demonstrates project‑management and consulting skills to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables. Gather design data from clients and vendors in Excel for consolidation and marketing analyses, checking data for reasonableness and following up on inaccuracies. Qualifications University degree or diploma in a related discipline or other relevant qualifications. 5+ years’ experience in account and client management, ideally in employee benefits programs. Strong numeric and analytical background with commercial sense. Track record in client and vendor management. Self‑initiative and curiosity in the health and benefits sector. Ability to build relationships through effective communication, influencing and negotiating. Project‑management skills, planning ahead to meet milestones with quality commitment. Computer literacy – especially Microsoft Office. Strong language capabilities in English and Cantonese.
