About the team Sector Coverage Team is responsible for leading strategic client dialogues and originating event transactions across Mizuho's global corporate & investment banking platform. Role requirements The incumbent will report to the Head of TMT, Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) and primarily be responsible for originating, and to some extent executing, event‑driven financings for clients in the TMT sector across Asia Pacific. Focus on origination and structuring of debt financing, particularly in the digital infrastructure sector Work with country bankers and product bankers across Project Finance, Acquisition & Leveraged Finance and Syndicated Loans to provide financing solutions to clients Secure lead underwriting roles and work towards becoming the go-to bank for clients looking to raise capital, including for the development of data centers, roll‑out of fibre‑optic networks and acquisition of telecom towers Essential Functions Promote and originate deals from the sector perspective in the TMT sector in the region. The individual should respect and commit to high standards of business conduct and integrity in promoting deals/projects, conducting operations/reporting, etc. Work experience, education and skills 10+ years’ experience in the origination and structuring of loans Highly organized and prepared to lead teams Preference for candidates who also have experience in the TMT sector Experience with marketing ideas to clients pro‑actively Application Employment of the in-scope positions are subject to Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (MRCS) as per regulatory requirement.
