Postdoctoral Fellow (Dr. Steven Chan Lab) Join to apply for the Postdoctoral Fellow (Dr. Steven Chan Lab) role at Centre for Oncology and Immunology . Job Responsibilities The position will focus on acute myeloid leukemia under the direction of Dr. Steven Chan as part of a collaborative program between the University of Hong Kong and the University Health Network/Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (Canada). The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the scientific teams at both institutions to decipher synthetic lethal interactions with mutations commonly found in myeloid malignancies, using state-of-the-art functional genomics tools. Responsibilities include conducting collaborative research projects in discovering synthetic lethal interactions via large-scale functional genomics approaches and developing novel compounds against established targets. Qualifications and Skills Applicants should have a strong research background in Molecular Biology. Additional expertise in Cancer Biology, Genomics, Metabolomics, Bioinformatics, Single Cell Technology, or Medicinal Chemistry is highly desirable. Essential Proven publication record in academic research Experience with CRISPR/Cas9, high-throughput screening, next-generation sequencing, and single-cell sequencing technologies Proficiency in molecular biology techniques and mammalian cell culture Desirable Research interests in multi-omics, bioinformatics, cancer metabolism, medicinal chemistry, and drug discovery Experience with mouse and xenograft models, biobanking, and animal handling techniques Good command of English, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team are required. The position is based at Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. Overseas graduates from top-ranked institutions in STEM fields are encouraged to apply.
