About the Role We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with a strong background in fund management, finance, institutional and derivative markets, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), and banking. The ideal candidate will preferably have legal experience related to financial and/or derivative product document drafting in crypto/web3 industries. Role and Responsibilities Product Framework Design: Lead or participate in the design of new product frameworks, ensuring legal compliance and innovation. Legal Guidance: Provide expert guidance and feedback to the team of legal counsels on various projects and transactions. Negotiation: Manage and lead negotiation processes for our market-making business operations. Business Structuring: Develop and implement business structures that minimize risks while maximizing efficiency and compliance. DeFi & Web3 Initiatives: Play an active role in planning and setting up DeFi funds and crypto/Web3 financing projects, pushing forward business innovations in these areas. Compliance & Licensing: Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulations and maintain necessary licenses. Qualifications Experience: Proven expertise in financial institutional settings or within a finance-focused legal firm. Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of market-making, trading compliance, and licensing. Technical Interest: Passionate about decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3 technologies. Leadership: Capable of leading complex legal projects and mentoring junior legal staff. Ideal Candidate Holds a bar qualification in the US, UK, or HK. Demonstrates over 2 years of post-qualification experience in relevant fields. Possesses a strategic mindset with the ability to navigate the evolving landscape of finance and technology law.
