Contract Programmer

Location Base Hong Kong Island and Correctional Facilities of the CSD or other locations as required Work in Guangdong Province: N/A Monthly Salary Range HK$ N/A - N/A Project Nature (T26) The proposed staff shall be responsible for the system operations, maintenance and support for the IT equipment of Integrated Custodial and Rehabilitation Management System (iCRMS) as well as the system implementation of new initiatives such as technology refresh of iCRMS peripherals of the Correctional Services Department. Duties Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the CSD; The proposed staff shall take an assistance role for maintaining the system healthiness of iCRMS peripherals, team management, technical problem solving and activity planning. Job duties include but are not limited to: Provide on-site installation and technical support services for IT equipment and system software at institutions of Correctional Services Department in different locations; Provide remote technical support for onsite team members and logistic arrangement planning; Collaborate and liaise with hardware and software contractor to perform necessary maintenance services to ensure the system stability of iCRMS services; Prepare system setup documentation and provide activity progress update report; Participate in the evaluation of hardware products and emerging IT technologies to meet business requirements; Conduct quality assurance on iCRMS peripherals to ensure system stability after production application releases and system changes; Provide technical support and health check to maintain the daily operations of business users with iCRMS peripherals; Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors. Years of Total Post-Qualified Experience 2.0 years Years of Relevant Experience 1.0 years Requirements (a) The proposed staff must have working experience in: (i) Team management and vendor support coordination; (ii) Solid onsite end user system support experience for Android and Windows IT equipment such as Kiosks, Desktop and laptop computers, handheld devices and tablets; (b) Basic programming knowledge for IT system integration testing and in-house web application support; (c) Good documentation and reporting skills with Microsoft Office; (d) Good communication skills, customer service skills, coordination skills and liaison skills; (e) Good command of Chinese and English; (f) Self-motivated, independent, diligent, polite, pro-active, fast learning and good team player; (g) Working at remote correctional facilities for the provision of support services as and when required; (h) May need to work outside normal office hours to provide production support and onsite implementation; (i) Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight schedules; and (j) Undergoing integrity check by HKPF is required. Technical Skills At least 1 year's experience in Anti-Virus Technology (AVT); At least 1 year's experience in Experience in C# programming (C#P); At least 1 year's experience in MySQL (MSQ); At least 1 year's experience in TCP/IP (TCP); At least 1 year's experience in Video Conference Technology (VCT); At least 1 year's experience in Windows 7/8/10 (W10); 1 year's experience in Web Programming (WEB) is an advantage; 1 year's experience in Checkpoint Firewall Administration (CFA) is an advantage; 1 year's experience in Microsoft Officer SharePoint Server Administration (MSP) is an advantage. Non-technical Skills At least 2 years' experience in customer relations (ECR); Good written English is a must; At least 1 year's experience in presentation (PRT); At least 1 year's experience in site preparation (SPE); At least 1 year's experience in work with the Government (GOV); At least 1 year's experience in helpdesk call handling (HDT); 1 year's experience in conducting IT training/briefing (ITT) is an advantage; 1 year's experience in software testing (STM) is an advantage; 1 year's experience in quality management (QMT) is an advantage. Education Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent; At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 1 year's relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
