Who we are looking for We are seeking a seasoned real estate lawyer to join our Hong Kong panel, advising developers, institutional investors, lenders and more on commercial real estate matters across acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, development and redevelopment, leasing, Deeds of Mutual Covenant (DMC), subdivision and title issues, and financing. The role demands sophisticated transactional judgment, rigorous risk analysis, and fluency in navigating Hong Kong laws, planning, and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to lead negotiations, and deliver pragmatic, client‑focused solutions in fast‑moving mandates. Successful applicants will have: A right to work and reside in Hong Kong Qualification to practice in at least one of the following jurisdictions: England & Wales, United States, Hong Kong, Singapore or Australia A minimum of three years' post‑qualification experience at a top tier law firm in this field Strong command of Hong Kong land law, conveyancing, leases, planning, Buildings Ordinance compliance, and security/financing for property assets. Self‑starter and a drive to achieve at a high level whilst working as a consultant Adept at leading or working within complex multi‑functional, multi‑national environments Adaptable communication skills, effective at influencing at all levels with diplomacy Client service‑focused, with exemplary client service ethic and commitment Commercial and astute business judgment Be adaptable, autonomous and organised Why be a Peerpoint consultant? As a Peerpoint consultant you can have the opportunity to work: In‑house with one of our clients – one assignment could be stepping into a team to support a project, while another a senior manager role tackling regulatory change. Assignments can range from two to six months in duration and are usually worked four days’ per week. In the A&O Shearman practice on an ad‑hoc basis, supporting teams when needed or joining them for fixed periods to work on a deal. We only take you on when we see a demand for your particular expertise, making sure there is a good chance we can provide you with work on an on‑going basis.
