Lead Data Support Analyst, Portfolio Manager Success role at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. As the Lead Data Support Analyst, Portfolio Manager Success, you will oversee the APAC region dedicated to empowering Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Analysts with world-class data solutions, technical enablement, and high-touch support. You will guide and mentor a team of Portfolio Manager Success Specialists and Data Analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, technical mastery, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and content experts across BAM’s key geographic locations, as well as with senior investment professionals. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of innovative, reliable, and scalable data-driven solutions that maximize the value of BAM’s data assets for the Front Office. Key Responsibilities Hands-On Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Portfolio Manager Success Specialists and Data Analysts, providing regular feedback and fostering a culture of curiosity, technical mastery, and continuous improvement. High-Quality Support & Service Delivery: Maintain and elevate a high standard of technical and customer support for front, middle, and back-office users across all asset classes. Escalation & Problem Management: Act as the escalation point for complex or high-impact user issues, driving timely resolution and root cause analysis. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with investment teams, technology, and product groups to ensure a seamless and responsive user experience. Process Optimization & Knowledge Sharing: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance support processes. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in data enablement and support. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or data enablement, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Demonstrated proficiency in technologies such as Python, SQL, AWS, Git, and Airflow. Experience supporting investment professionals or working with financial data, especially time-series data and third-party data vendors, is preferred. Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment that requires multitasking and frequent context switching. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
