We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Portfolio Management Support. In this role you will: Be part of the HSBC Private Bank Managed Solutions Portfolio Management Support team – constructing, implementing and executing the investment decisions on behalf of investment managers for HSBC Private Bank discretionary investment mandates Act on Portfolio Managers' instructions on trades by doing portfolio construction, implementation and preparing market orders for various asset classes for execution Executing and booking trades in equities, bonds, mutual funds, FX & alternative investments for discretionary client accounts Co‑coordinate all aspects of discretionary client accounts from accounts set up, trading, addition/withdrawal requests, and other miscellaneous requests from client Be responsible for pre‑trade control regarding client investment guidelines, available cash and holding positions Ensure that there is no short selling, available cash is sufficient before placing the orders, client’s special guidelines are not breached, and the orders are in full compliance with internal and external requirements Coordinate programs rebalancing in areas such as portfolio construction, SAA and TAA changes Create/maintenance of excel order planning tool in both equity and bond for trade planning purposes Arrange FX trade fulfil trade settlements before value date according to different requirements in different markets Liaise and work with portfolio managers on all aspects of discretionary client accounts i.e the acceptance of securities regarding securities transfers to new accounts and various ad hoc client instructions for their accounts Work with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers for partial or full redemptions Liaise with portfolio managers for corporate action events which investment decision is required. Communicate and liaise with other front‑line staff on client serving needs and queries Work with Information Technology team for system enhancements that contribute to a range of discretionary‑specific projects To be successful you will need: University degree in business or equivalent Preferred experiences in dealing in securities, good understanding of end‑to‑end trade life cycle and operational risk Sound understanding of various FI/Equity/FX products Highly proficient at Excel Experience in macro VBA, knowledge in AVALOQ will be an added advantage Good at multi‑tasking, able to organize and analyse large volumes of data Fluent in English and Cantonese The employment is subject to Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (MRCS) as per regulatory requirement.
